Lavoie, Angie

Hello My Name Is...

Angie Lavoie

I was born and raise in Berlin, NH. I am married and have two children, Brooke and Noah. I love my family and spending time with them! We like to go to the beach, take jeep rides, and enjoy our time outside as much as possible.

I am beginning my fourth year at Lancaster Elementary as one of the middle school English Language Arts teachers. This year I will be teaching English in grades 7 and 8. I will be taking part in rolling out humanities to our middle school students. Humanities is the combination of both Social Studies and English Language Arts. I am very excited to be taking this leap and am looking forward to seeing how the students benefit from this change.

I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2010 with a BS in Childhood Studies. After graduation I worked for several years at a school in Bristol, NH. While there I worked as a Paraprofessional, Long Term Substitute, Teacher’s Aid, and Title I teacher.

I am currently certified as a general studies K-8 teacher as well as a Highly Qualified English teacher for grades 5-8. I am currently attending Plymouth State University to obtain my Masters in Integrated Arts.

My passion lies in creativity and hands on learning. It is my goal to make sure every student is learning in the way that best suits them, as an individual.

Along with teaching, I am also the advisor of the LES Student Council Committee. This will be my third year in this role and I am really looking forward to helping these students make a positive impact on their school community. I hope that through my work with student council that every child to come to school and feel like they belong here and can contribute to the school in some positive way.
