Hello My Name Is...

Phoebe Buckman

Phoebe Buckman is beginning her third year at Lancaster Elementary School.  Phoebe earned a B.S. in Secondary Education and B.A. in History from Keene State College in 2017.  Originally from the Upper Valley in New Hampshire, she moved to Lancaster two years ago.  She is excited to begin her third year at LES.  In her new room, Phoebe will be teaching a section of 6th grade Social Studies, a section of 7th grade Humanities, and all 8th grade Humanities students.  She is the adviser of the LES Yearbook, Debate Club, and often the DJ at dances.  Phoebe is an active member in the Lancaster School community working on the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support - Behavior team to foster an inclusive and positive school community and a member of the Building Leadership Team.  Her favorite thing about teaching Social Studies is to empower her students to get involved with their interests and communities and foster critical thinking.  She hopes to help students create the change they wish to see in the world.
